Tera 5100 1D Wireless & Wired Laser Barcode Scanner with Battery Level Indicator, Extra Large Battery Capacity and Ergonomic Handle
1. This scanner DOES NOT scan 2D, QR, or barcodes on digital screens.
2. NOT Compatible with Square POS system; DOES NOT support Bluetooth mode.
3. When the scan result is different from the actual number (e.g. extra characters appearing at the front), the barcode is correctly scanned as is. Tera scanners can be modified with a setting code to hide the extra characters, please see the manual or consult us for details. It is not the quality or scanning issue with the scanner itself.
4. Tera 5100 1D wireless barcode scanner is capable of scanning colorful barcodes, EXCEPT red bars on white background and black bars on blue background.
- Tera 5100 is easy to set up. Just plug and play. It is compatible with any PC or laptop where you can plug a 2.4GHz wireless dongle. Not compatible with smartphones and tablets. Supports iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
- When connecting via 2.4GHz wireless, the transmission distance is up to 328ft with a barrier-free environment and about 30-100ft with an indoor obstacle environment, depending on the complexity of the environment.
- The upgraded version 2.4G Wireless Receiver is small, portable and reliable, easy to carry (it can be placed into the back of the scanner).
- The old version wireless receiver is very large and easily damaged.
Supports 35 Languages
- Supports multiple languages including English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, etc.
- To get the correct output, make sure the scanner's keyboard language consistent with your computer's keyboard language.
- The scanner's factory default language is English.
- The scanner features customizable volume, which allows you to turn the volume on/off based on the barcode in the user manual, as well as raise or lower the volume when scanning barcodes.
Supports USB Virtual COM Port
- The scanner works with a virtual serial port driver and serial port software. The scanned information will show up in the window of the serial port software even if other universal software is opened, such as excel, word, notepad, etc. USB Virtual COM Port works with Windows 7/8/10/11/XP. Not compatible with Mac OS.
- 2.4GHz Transmission Speed: If the transmitted data gets lost or garbled, try to reduce the transmission speed.
- Alphabetic keyboard characters can be forced to be all upper case or all lowercase. So if you have the following barcode: "AZErty", you can make the output "AZERTY" by scanning Convert All Characters to Upper Case, or to "azerty" by Convert All Characters to Lower Case.
Power Timeout Timer
- When there is no activity within a specified time period, the scanner turns off. Scan the appropriate scanner power timeout barcode to change the timeout duration.
